Anti Bullying Week

We will be reading the bible story about the Lost Sheep and trying to bring the story into our own lives by trying hard in everything that we do.

This is the prayer that we will be saying in worship times.

Dear God,

Help me to welcome challenges in my life.  Please give me the strength to preserve in them.  Amen.

Christian Values

At Snainton we believe that it is important to develop core values by which to live and cultivate moral standards that support and form character, spiritual awareness and self-esteem. We feel a deep responsibility to nurture core values that can be shared and expressed by all regardless of faith or belief. As a school and community we seek to explore the meanings of core values and their significance in Christianity, other religions and secular teachings.

As a whole school community we have advocated distinctive values that we believe give our school a core purpose. The gifts of friendship, thankfulness, respect, community, creation, endurance, compassion, forgiveness, peace, wisdom, service, trust, humility, justice and hope are the values we want our children to leave with. While these gifts are inclusive of human values we try to anchor them into the Christian faith by relating them to the bible through stories and readings.

Our values are displayed in all classes because teachers refer to them during lessons as well as in worship sessions.

Our Christian values this year:

Term 1: Thankfulness

Term 2: Truthfulness

Term 3: Hope

Term 4: Humility

Term 5: Justice

Term 6: Compassion

By working together as a community we can achieve these values.
