Carol Olivier

Carol Olivier (Chair of Governors)

I have recently retired from a fulfilling 40 year career in Teaching.

During that time I worked in Primary schools as a class teacher and as a Deputy and Acting Headteacher.

I was chair of London Drama, a professional association for teachers with an interest in drama in education.

I enjoy Tai Chi and dancing.

I now live in Ebberston and I am very happy to be involved in this lovely local school.

Denise is a Foundation Governor appointed by York Diocese.

She is the recently retired Headteacher of Filey Church of England Nursery and Infant Academy.

Louise Jones

Louise Jones

My name is Louise Jones and I am the new parent governor. I have a son in Silver Birch Class.
I chose for my son to attend Snainton school even though we live in Scarborough Town Centre because we loved the sense of community and belonging and felt it was a nurturing environment.
I work in a specialist SEND provision as an Advanced Teaching Assistant and am an instructor in First Aid for Mental Health, as well as training to be a therapeutic counsellor.
Other than quality time with my family, I love food, animals, football, movies and attending live music events.
